YOU CAN COUNT ON US TO CARE!

To schedule an appointment, call 302-326-1400.

This is our large reception/waiting area with a separated private space for feline patients and a children's area with a toy box to keep them entertained.

We have a walk-on scale and a full inventory of prescription foods and retail items to keep your pet happy and healthy.

We have 3 exam rooms, each equipped to allow us to comfortably examine your pet during its visit to Animal Haven.

Exam Room 1 Exam Room 2 Exam Room 3
Our treatment area is equipped with three different types of tables to allow us to provide for the medical needs of your pet. One of the tables is an “ordinary” exam table. Another table allows us to have a sink area to allow us to perform teeth-cleanings and wound treatments. The third table can have the solid top removed to convert it into a tub where we can bathe animals, either for routine bathing or for medicated baths.
Our ultrasound machine allows us to better visualize organs than what X-rays sometimes can and is available to use on your pet should the need arise. (We have an X-ray machine also.)

Our treatment area also has a laboratory area with a wide array of equipment to allow us to perform in-house tests on your pet to give fast (within 10-20 minute) results so that we may quickly and accurately initiate the proper treatment for your pet’s illness.
We have a separate room with a few cages to keep critically ill patients requiring extra peace and quiet.

Our surgical room is fully equipped to allow us to perform routine (spay and neuters) as well as medically needed surgeries.  We use safe and short-recovery anesthetics (both inhalant and injectable) and several forms of monitoring equipment.
Cages for hospitalized animals and animals recovering from surgery are located in our treatment room where there is always a technician or doctor to observe the patients’ well-being.
Cages for hospitalized cats are also located in the treatment room where a doctor or technician is always present to observe them, but are tucked away in a private area so that the cats are not stressed by being close to our canine patients.
Our canine boarding area is located in a separate room from our hospitalized patients.  All of our boarders are walked outside a minimum of 3 times each day.

Our feline boarders have condos which we can individualize to give varying amounts of space while still keeping each individual cat separate from the other boarders.  Cats can move from left-to-right, as well as up and down. The condos are equipped with plexi-glass fronts to give each cat a view of the outdoors and each has a shelf on which the cats can lay to get an even better view!!!
